Good to know
- You pay one band charge per course of treatment — not per filling or appointment.
- Treatment is free if you’re under 18 (or under 19 in full-time education), pregnant or had a baby in the last 12 months, or on a qualifying benefit.
- Not sure if you qualify for free care? Use the Help with costs tool.
- Ask for an FP17 / treatment plan in writing before agreeing to Band 3 work so you can see exactly what’s NHS and what’s private.
